Batting Types

Updated: Nov 24, 2024

There are many different types of batting options, and it all depends on what look or feel your trying to achieve.

Lets first go over Loft. For each of the different types of batting (cotton, poly, wool...) you can select the loft.

  • Request is a Light Weight loft

    • Great for summer quilts or wearables

    • Ideal for delicate projects stitched by hand but can be used on longarms

  • Select is a Mid-Weight loft

    • Very versatile and used in both hand and machine quilting.

    • Has a beautiful drape

  • Deluxe is also a Mid-Weight loft

    • A bit denser than select and provides more warmth to quilts

  • Supreme is a Heavy-Weight loft

    • A hefty and dense batting
